NUM TIME COMMENT
1 06:00 DGS ACCOUNTING PACE 2200m
MAXY CAN DANCE (12) is a lightly-raced but progressive gelding who made it two wins from three starts when he came from this row and dug deep to score first up. Draws wider but has plenty of upside and can continue to work through his grades. JAMES GARNER (6) looks close to a win after placing in three of his last four starts. Only missed by a neck when runner up at Maryborough last start. Draws wider but with even luck could break through. MONTANA PRIDE (7) draws deep but should be ready to peak fourth up after finishing second here two weeks ago. SASSYOLA (1) draws well and is in the mix after turning in a good effort last start to finish second at Geelong.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
2 06:32 PFG AUSTRALIA TROT 2200m
JUST ABIT DUSTY (12) has had little go to plan in two starts in stronger company since winning from this row the last time he raced at this circuit. Drops back to that same class and with even luck could return to the winners' list. MANDA KYVALLEY (11) has made mistakes in recent outings but was going well earlier in the campaign including an easy win from this row at Melton. Up to this with manners. JESSICAS STORY (6) draws wider but is in contention after scoring last start by a nose at this venue and distance. BOUTIKA (9) is heading the right way, last time out finishing third from this row at Maryborough.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
3 06:59 JELLIS CRAIG BALLARAT 2YO TROT 2200m
VANCE LANE (9) has been tackling stronger races of late, finishing fourth in the Gavin Lang 2YO Mile two back and midfield last time at Melton. Has had a month off since but finds a winnable assignment. ZOOLU (7) made a winning start to her career three weeks ago, coming from the back row and getting home by 6 metres at Bendigo. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position but she has upside and with even luck could keep the ball rolling. Tricky draw for NORTHERN TRUSCOTT (10) but he ended last prep in good form with back-to-back thirds at Melton. Has trialled and is capable of a forward showing while fresh. WHOSHOTTHEPIEMAN (1) lines up for the first time. By Sundons Courage and hails from the Brad Angove stable. Won his latest trial and should have no excuses from the inside draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
4 07:36 MILLERS CONSTRUCTION TROT 1710m
NO TELLING HEATHER (10) broke early last start so did well to recover and clock in fourth. Placed in two of her other three starts this time in and should be at peak fitness now. Winning chance with manners. ARTIGAS (5) has been let down by manners in both starts since a fresh win at Maryborough but still managed to clock in fourth last time. Still learning but can make an impact if he gets it right. RARITY ROCK (9) draws on the back row but owns a good record at this circuit and comes right into contention after scoring last start by 2.4 metres at Cranbourne. HES THEMIGHTYSPIN (1) has been readied for the return with a trial placing and draws to advantage. Keep safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
5 08:06 BOMITALI CONSTRUCTION TROT 2200m
PREFERRED LOVE (4) has the hoof on the till after placing in her last four outings, last time leading and fighting well to go under narrowly at Melton. Owns a good record at this distance and gets her chance to break through. IM LADY RHONDA (2) resumes from a spell of four months after closing off last campaign in good form, the last outing being a solid third at Melton. Has won fresh before and gets the benefit of a good draw so is likely to run a big race to kick off this campaign. MAJESTIC TOOTH (3) was down the track in stronger company last start but was racing well with a string of wins and placings prior. Draws well and is better placed so is worth another chance. KYVALLEY ANTHONY (1) is worth plenty of thought after leading from this draw for a last-start win at Geelong.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
6 08:36 MDS ACCOUNTING VICBRED VOUCHER MAIDEN PACE 2200m
METRO BLISS (3) made good progress second up when she led and stuck on well for a 4.2m second at Melton. Can push forward again from this draw and should be fitter again so can go one better. SMASHED IT (10) was well in the market first up but bombed the start. Lightly raced and still learning but looks to have talent. Winning hope if the penny drops. IM THE WILD ONE (6) was midfield last time to follow a string of placings. Finding it hard to win but is honest and has to come into calculations. HEY GIGI (5) hasn't been far from the placings in any of her starts this time in and should be at her peak fourth up.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
7 09:06 PODIUM MONEY PACE 1710m
GOLDEN TRIBE (5) resumes from a spell of four-and-a-half months after showing some very good form last campaign including a win two back at Melton. Readied for the return by placing in two trials. Top chance. THE STEEL DRAGON (6) overcame a wide draw on the back row for a resuming win at Maryborough, his third success from just five starts. Up in grade but is two from two at this distance and has plenty of upside. DELIGHTFUL CHARM (4) scored her second win from her last three starts when she raced parked from this draw and dug deep at Cranbourne last time. JIMMY BREEZE (3) came from wider for a second-up win by 3 metres at Bendigo. Fitter again and won his lone attempt at this circuit and distance.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
8 09:36 COLLIERS BALLARAT NMW PACE (2ND HEAT) 2200m
ROSBERG (4) led and kept going when he scored last start by 3.4 metres at Geelong. Only draws one spot wider so should push forward again. Big chance to go back-to-back. DANCE AFFAIR (8) has been coming from wider draws on this row of late and has produced some decent efforts including a placing at Melton. Draws for a trail and finds a suitable assignment. RANGER RICK (6) couldn't get into the action in a tougher race last start but was going well prior and owns a good record at this distance. BIZZNESS CLASS (9) must be considered after he came from a similar barrier for third at Bendigo last week.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
