BOB'S VIP PASSENGER SERVICE COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN HANDICAP 1435m
Lack of speed in the small line-up so it may become a sit and sprint affair. RUN RAYMOND RUN (4) impressive return over the unsuitable trip when a fighting third over 1080m at Canberra Acton. Maps well out to this trip and shouldn't be a maiden for long. DELAGO SERG (3) on the quick backup after coming out of the pack late for a respectable third over 1460m at Queanbeyan last Tuesday. Goes well here and drops in weight. Each-way. BRUTAL BELLE (5) has been plagued by bad barriers all prep and finally comes up with the inside draw on an improving surface. Took good ground off them late down the middle of the track when tenacious second over 1400m at Wagga. Will roll forward and shapes as a leading player. BRANNUM (1) has been in the market at his recent starts but hasn't managed to break through, the latest running eighth at Canberra. Can improve and worth including for value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Run Raymond Run gets his chance out to this trip. |

JEFF PENZA JOCKEY OF THE YEAR MAIDEN PLATE 930m
Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. BLANC DE NOIR (1) well-bred Capitalist mare having her first run for the Mitch Beer yard. Finished in the minor money at all five starts and primed for this with the two solid trials. No excuses from the draw. GLENN'S LEGACY (5) handy gelding resuming who shapes as the main danger. Excellent debut from the wide gate when a game on pace second over 1000m at Wagga last May. Fitted with a close-up fourth in a trial over 900m at Canberra. Sits on the speed and will take holding out. YOU COUNT (4) returns from a lay-off. Ran seventh in a trial at Moruya. Opened last campaign with a fourth at Ballarat Synthetic over 1000m. Can feature. REMY'S BRO (7) Brutal gelding on debut following a quiet trial at Moruya. Watch for any market confidence. SUGGESTED PLAY: Blanc De Noir and Glenn's Legacy to fight it out. |

NAROOMA LOCKSMITHS BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1020m
Solid pace with Aegipan finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. Even contest with plenty of chances. MANWARI (6) back in trip for this after he chipped away late in the heavy going when fourth over 1200m at Goulburn. Maps well and will take holding out on the firmer surface. GIRLS WEEKEND (5) six weeks between runs when he gripped on late to secure a handy third over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Back in class and trip and finds her race from the inside gate. VEREEVA (3) has a good record at this track and trip and comes back a few levels today. Drifted back from the low draw and like the way she closed late when fourth over 1100m at Nowra. Value prospect. CAPTAIN NAY (1) returned from the lengthy spell for the new yard when a tenacious second over 1000m at Wagga on the heavy (9) track. A repeat showing gives him a great chance on the improving track. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 6,5,3,1. |

CLAIRE RAMSBOTHAM APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1435m
They look to roll along early with Hope And Glory and Write Your Own leading the charge. GEEMES (1) former Maher mare resuming for the Mitch Beer stable. Total forgive from the outside gate when a disappointing thirteenth over 1800m in the LR Pt A Gneas at Morphettville last April. Fitted with the one searching 1150m trial at Kembla and can finish over the top of these. KOOL BIRD (7) gets a better setup for this and should have little trouble running the distance out. On the quick backup after closing late when fifth over 1200m at Queanbeyan last Tuesday. Expected to take a hand in the finish. HOPE AND GLORY (5) up in trip when a disappointing fifth over 1400m at Nowra on the heavy (8) surface. Senior rider back on and can turn it around today. CARAVANSERAI (4) was safely held last start at Nowra. Has claims if he can reproduce his win at Bathurst two starts back. Worth plenty of thought. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 1,7,5,4. |

DAZZLED TROPHIES AND GIFTS AND CARTRIDGE WORLD MAIDEN PLATE 1210m
Not expecting them to go too hard with a lack of pace evident. Tricky little race with a few first starters engaged. LADY YARROW (5) excellent return on the heavy (9) track when she surged late for an unlucky second over 1200m at Wagga in A Super Mdn. Talented mare who looks too good for these. DOORALONG (1) eased late in betting on debut when a respectable fourth over 1100m at Nowra on the heavy track. Strips fitter and the extra trip is in his favour. CHOCECLAIR (9) returned for her second campaign with a disappointing seventh over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Has a host of gear changes and back in grade here. DENI LASS (4) resuming today but will be fitter for a recent trial, looks a place chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Yarrow to shed her maiden status. |

TERRY ROBINSON TRAINER OF THE YEAR COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 1210m
Expecting plenty of speed from Loch Erin, Vella Magic and Extravagant Choice from Fourcade. MISS STALWART (5) tough mare back in her right grade for this. Shuffled back from the inside gate when a battling fifth over 1200m at Gosford in BM64 grade. Best figures can see her go close. FOURCADE (1) has a good record on her home track and kept fresh for this. Outclassed in town when a fading eighth over 1250m at Canterbury on July 23. Will push forward from the gate and goes into the exotics. ALOTTOSAY (7) nice mare starting to build a good winning CV. Made it two straight wins on resumption, before warming up late with a respectable third over 1200m at the Sapphire Coast in C2 company. Look for her late. LOCH ERIN (10) lightly raced mare who was fifth last start over 1300m at Goulburn. In the mix here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Stalwart goes close. |

DAZZLED HOME AND GIFTS BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP 1435m
Solid tempo anticipated with Epaullo Creed taking charge. Good little contest with a host of chances. DUPLI KATE (8) eye-catching effort first up when third to the promising Tuileries over 1400m at Warwick Farm in a high rating BM72. Clearly come back well and senior rider hops on today. Genuine top-three contender. BON FRANKIE (3) is retaining his zest for racing and indicated a win was imminent when looming strongly for a close-up fourth over 1300m at Canberra. Backs up quickly and maps to get the gun run. EPAULLO CREED (4) taken to the front from the outset and over raced in the middle stages when fading in the straight to run sixth over 1300m at Canberra. Apprentice keeps the ride, and he has a good set of figures here. MASTER RILEY (6) returned from a lengthy break with a plugging ninth over 1250m at Randwick Kensington in BM72 grade. Had excuses from the outside gate last start and drawn the rails for this. Improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dupli Kate will take holding out. |

PERUNO HORSE OF THE YEAR BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1660m
Sir Sublime has the pace to lead in what is likely to be a moderate tempo. AUTUMN HEIR (11) ten start maiden who looks close to getting off the mark. Wound up late from back in the field with a sound second over 2000m at Canberra. Will relish the fast tempo and take a hand in the finish. GO GAZZA (7) nice win over this track and trip two starts back, before chipping away late when ninth over 2010m at this track. Gets a faster tempo today and ticks a few boxes. GOLDEN FAIRY (10) trained on the track and drops in weight with the 2kg claim. Never travelled like the winner when a dismal fifth over 2000m at Canberra. Assess on the unlucky second here two back. Keep safe. EASEMENT (2) has been in the market at his last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start running 11th at Canberra. Can sneak into the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 11,7,10,2. |
