NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:00 Global Turf Maiden Plate 2100m
Genuine tempo early with Bo Cougar, Vancouver Rain and Rich Champagne taking up forward positions. RICH CHAMPAGNE (6) has had a few chances but does look to have found the right race here, coming off a solid second placing at Echuca when attempting to lead all the way, only going down by 0.8 lengths. He'll roll forward and take plenty of catching. LEMBEH (9) appreciated the step up to this track and distance last start when running on well into third. Open to further improvement and should go close. BO COUGAR (8) hasn't been all that far away of late and the step up in trip should suit. AVENUES (3) is a 4yo gelding by Reset on debut. His jumpouts have just been fair but this isn't a strong race. Watch the market. AKI (1) is in the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Rich Champagne to win.
2 01:30 Martin Collins Maiden Plate 1000m
Street Miss, Dougie's Dream and Attaboom to match motors but there will be plenty of pressure from other quarters. SOCIALLY RED (5) resumes. She ran second when fresh last preparation at Cranbourne and has tackled some smart maidens in her short career. Looks well placed here. DOUGIE'S DREAM (3) has run second in 4/6 starts to date including both starts this campaign. A win looks close. I'M KENOUGH (10) was very poor first-up at Sandown Hillside but did show talent in his maiden campaign and this is much easier. ATTABOOM (1) should be thereabouts.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Socially Red.
3 02:00 Veolia Maiden Plate 1500m
Although a few sit handy there won't be a great deal of early pressure. RADSTAR (7) is a 15-start maiden but is racing well and finds a winnable race. She broke a long run of minor placings when striking a heavy track last start at Ballarat but firmer footing on the synthetic here could suit. Strong hope. NORWEGIAN SPIRIT (4) grabbed his first career placing last start at Wangaratta over 1300m and should be suited by the extra furlong this time around. Open to further improvement and can win. UNWIND (9) is a filly by Raise The Flag on debut for the Ciaron Maher yard. Finds a nice race to kick off in. SHADEELAA (12) ran a better race at this track and trip last time out and can continue to improve.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Radstar to win.
4 02:30 Peter Tobin Funerals Maiden Plate 1200m
Genuine tempo with Azeezle leading the way. AZEEZLE (11) is a colt by Exceed And Excel who ran well on debut at Bendigo over 1000m, working home well to finish a close-up fourth. Up in trip now should pose no issues and he's got plenty of upside for favourable connections. TREVENSON (5) finished a long third on debut at Bendigo over 1100m and firmer footing could suit. TRUSTING YOU (6) is a 28-start maiden so must be treated with caution, but he was good at this track and distance last start when second, beaten a head. Chance based off that effort. AIR OF AUTHORITY (1) is a gelding by Churchill on debut for the R Cully yard who can run well.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Azeezle to win.
5 03:00 Porter Plant Handicap 1200m
The Siscos Kid possesses good early speed and will battle for early honours. RUMINATE (8) looks well placed in this. He's a consistent 3yo who has placed in two runs back from a spell, beaten half a length at this track when fresh before another sound effort here last time. Maps ideally here and can improve third-up. SANTASTICO (9) made his synthetic debut here last time out and ran well for second, albeit in a Bm58. He drops 6kg into this and should take plenty of catching. ROSALIA (2) absolutely loves the synthetic here with 5 wins and 3 placings from 9 starts. Beat a handy field here last time and will be very hard to catch again. GREENHILL PRINCE (4) next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ruminate to win.
6 03:30 Hygain Winners Choice Handicap 1200m
Go Gurda is expected to lead at a strong tempo. LADY DUMONT (2) ran on nicely at this track and distance to score her second career win when last seen in this grade. She maps for a similar run here from the soft gate and looks a big chance for another win. PERI PERI RICH (1) is racing well. She was good here last time out when second and only needs to hold that sort of level to be going very close. SMOKEY WARRIOR (3) resumed behind Lady Dumont and ran well for third, beaten just over a length. Fitter for that and can bridge the gap. HELL OF A TRIP (4) broke through for her maiden win at her sixth outing here last start. PONTIFICATE (5) is in the mix third-up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Dumont on top.
7 04:00 Sportsbet Jockey Watch Handicap 1500m
Solid tempo. PERFECT GOLD (3) is a lightly raced filly who grabbed her second win from four starts when last seen at Wangaratta. Should have plenty more improvement to come and can win again. DILLINGER (5) has placed in his past two starts and won't need to improve much to be winning this. QUEEN OF DEELS (4) is a handy mare with a promising record, winning comfortably last start at Echuca over 1400m. Bit more depth here but she has upside and maps well. ALLIBOR (2) last start scored a rare win over 1400m at this track. Has ability and is looking for another fair run.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Perfect Gold on top.
8 04:30 Hygain Winners Choice Handicap 1000m
Genuine pace with Cable Town taking up the running ahead of Nosie By Nature and Brooklyn Baby. NOSIE BY NATURE (7) is a lightly raced 3yo gelding who resumed at Murray Bridge over 900m, good to the line there in a Class 1 when beaten just over a length. He's open to plenty of improvement and can take this out. TAKASHIMA (2) won well here two back in a BM58 before a close-up fifth in a stronger race here last time. That form reads well and he'll spend no energy from the inside gate. A GOOD YARN (3) has run second at his past two outings on rain-affected going, but does have an affinity for the synthetic with 3 wins from 7 starts, albeit none at this track. Maps well and should take beating. COEUR DE LYON (1) can measure up off a BM58 win here while TOM THE STAR (5) is chasing a hat-trick and must be considered.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Nosie By Nature on top.
