MONTSAINT IL VENTO (5) improved sharply with a win over 1600m at this track two weeks ago, getting home by 2.5 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Looks well placed so expect another big run. STRONG HOOVES (9) missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track finishing fourth after being in the firing line on the bend. Best figures measure up nicely and can run well. BIG NORTH ROOF (6) turned in a modest performance when seventh last start over 1600m here after a good first-up win at this track. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time. CABINET BATTLE (1) has missed the frame at his last couple of outings, the latest when tenth over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. Out of his depth in JRA meets recently but can easily bounce back.
