A solid early tempo assured with Big Max setting the tone from wide out, joined by Lucky Goal and Lucky Warrior pushing on from closer draws. TOMMY GUN (1) is a three-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Fitzsimmons barn since coming from Australia. Hasn't raced since finishing in the placings at Ballarat five months ago. Trialled well since arriving. Leading prospect. LUCKY GOAL (2) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing second last time out over 1100m on the all-weather. Likely improver with strong prospects. CHEVAL PEGASUS (12) is a gelding by Flying Artie out of Second Date who is at the races for the first time today. Placed in a recent trial. Looks set for a bright start. LUCKY WARRIOR (9) is back from a 28 day freshen-up following a third on the all-weather last time. Has the speed to be prominent from the outset. Don't underestimate.
