There should be a bit of early pressure with Longwood and Souvenirs Des Iles going forward in advance of Big Ryuo and Commodores. GEMPACHI LEONIDAS (11) has been out of the money in recent runs including last time out when seventh over 1400m at this track two weeks ago. Can turn things around in this suitable assignment. COMMODORES (5) was safely held when fourth last time out over 1400m here following a win at this track at the previous outing. Can bounce back here. ISHTAR GATE (4) has not appeared since he finished 11th over 2860m at Kokura on February 4. Now under the care of new trainer Joji Tanaka. Makes plenty of appeal here in easier. LONGWOOD (7) drew wide last time and was safely held when fifth over this track and trip after being well backed. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset and is in the mix.
