A stack of early pressure, primarily from The Defiant One and Ensign Parker. REGGIE'S BOY (4) has been about the mark on the provincial circuit in his three runs this prep, the latest an eye-catching fourth over 1200m at Wyong. Has raced twice over today's course and distance and won both times. Cherry ripe and ideally placed to take this out. LOSTMA COWBOY (15) was close enough if good enough last time out but struggled at the end of 1400m at Tamworth. Drops 1.5kgs, draws a far better gate, and is more at home over this trip so he is a likely improver. EIGHTY EIGHT STARS (17) won a Class 1 here at this distance two starts ago before a poor effort as favourite at Moree most recently. Worth another chance. ENSIGN PARKER (8) won with authority over 1200m at the Beaumont track last start when well backed. Subsequently trialled well at Scone so he can certainly keep the ball rolling. Consistent gelding REMATCH (1) resumes. Good enough to test this field but 65kgs is a big steadier. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Reggie's Boy.
