Moderate tempo. RUAKAKA RAIDER (4) has had two runs to date, showing good improvement last start when stepping up to 1600m at Pakenham, finishing third. Should improve again with the slight rise in trip and will be very hard to hold out. NAJLE (7) was good last start at Mornington over 1500m and should be ready to peak here. Very much suited to this trip now and will take some beating. RELENTLESS RUBY (9) was solid first-up at Kyneton when midfield and will strip much fitter for the rise in trip. She ran well against some smart types last time in. FIRST APPEARANCE (6) started at $101 on debut when a solid sixth over 1400m at Pakenham. Well drawn and with the race experience on board can go on with it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ruakaka Raider on top.
