Daimyo, Champonelle and Amancio will be ridden positively out of their low gates so the pace will be genuine. ETOILEFILLANTE (7) has finished second at his last 2 starts under Bernard Fayd'Herbe. He raced from a handy position last time and was only run down late. The blinkers have done the trick on him and he meets the right field this time. He is perfectly placed to go one better. AMANCIO (3) was unlucky not to have won his last start as he was steadied for running room at the 200m mark. He is a progressive type and will love the rise to the mile. From his good draw of three, he should throw out a big challenge to the top pick. DAIMYO (1) has finished second in his last two starts here over this trip. He races close to the pace and merits healthy respect. AZZURRI (11) has shown improvement in each of his 3 outings to date. He finished a head behind the third choice last time and should be right in the finish again.
