Without any speed horses lining up it is not expected they will go too hard. A BOOK OF DAYS (1) has had two runs to date, placing on debut at Pakenham behind a smart filly before being turned over at $1.40 at Sandown-Lakeside, only managing 4th. Excuses were offered there and that market support was telling. Keen he bounces back. PLATINUM DESTROYER (4) has had three runs to date and been good in all, the latest when third on heavy ground at Geelong when fresh. Fitter for that and looks a strong chance. HAWKSURE (2) was in the market on debut here before a spell but struggled on the heavy ground and was spelled. In good hands, can do much better here. MOONBIRD (3) was poor last time but solid on debut and isn't hopeless. SUGGESTED PLAY: A Book Of Days to win.
