He showed pace over this course and distance last time, but was outrun late. He returns from a spell during which time he was gelded. If not in need of this outing, he should prove hard to beat. FRENCH BOLT (4) is an unraced son of Var from the Stuart Pettigrew stable with Calvin Habib in the saddle. If not too green in running, he should start his career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances. BEYNAC (1) hails from the Brett Crawford stable and he is a son of Querari. Piere Strydom is booked to ride and if not in need of the run, he should give a good account of himself. VARACE (8) finished in the money last start running third at this track and should strip fitter second up, winning hope.
