Blistering early pace from Beating Wings, Let's Go Now and Gimme A Shot taking each other on, with a few others in keen pursuit. WHITE PEARL (4) fought on strongly when fourth in Grade 2 company last time. She has won once, finished second twice, and third once from as many starts here over this journey. She jumps from a good draw and will also strip much fitter. Piere Strydom retains the ride and she may be the one to beat. BEATING WINGS (1) won a good race over a mile on the Inside course here last time out. She won her only attempt on this track over the distance. Apprentice Trent Mayhew takes the 2.5kg off her back which will assist her cause. She is in a good space and can repeat the dose. GIMME A SHOT (3) is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out. She has finished third twice from as many starts here over this trip. Top hoop Gavin Lerena steps back into the saddle and she cannot be ignored. CAPTAIN PEG (5) is better than her last start over 1160m on this course. On her previous form, she should have a say in the outcome of this contest. Include in all combinations.
