Plenty of early pace with Weiser Blick and Tagano Tulle battling for the lead but there will be pressure from a few other on-pacers. CANICULE (2) tackled the Rose Stakes (Shuka Sho Trial) over 2000m at Chukyo last time out when fresh from a spell and was beaten 5.5 lengths into eighth by Queen's Walk. Can play a big role in this company. SHIVERS (4) has put together back-to-back placings after scoring three back at Niigata, most recently beaten 1.3 lengths into third over 2000m at this track. Worth noting M Demuro goes aboard. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. WEISER BLICK (6) built on a nice second when fresh from a spell two starts back at Niigata with a win as public elect over 1800m at Niigata three weeks ago, getting home by 2.5 lengths. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. NISHINO KOFUKU (10) failed to threaten when fresh from a spell last time out, beaten 6 lengths into sixth over 2000m at this track. Backmarker who gets home hard. Deserves respect on best figures.
