Expecting Calico Jack to bounce to the lead from a low draw. ELPHINSTONE (8) resumed with an encouraging run at Geelong over 1300m behind an in-form horse in Zaszou, running on well for a 0.5 length defeat. She'll be fitter for that, gets in on the minimum weight here and looks one of the hardest to beat. MAWALLOCK (7) is the danger. She's placed in both runs back from a spell and while beaten 7 lengths by She's Bulletproof last time, that horse looks Group class. She's right in this. CALICO JACK (1) struggled at Bendigo but did win well prior at Geelong in a handy race and he maps nicely. BELTHIL (3) resumed over 1500m at Geelong behind Oh Too Good he was enormous on Oaks Day. Back to 1300m here is interesting. NAVY KING (10) will want further but has a bit of class and could run well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Elphinstone to win.
