Born To Shine and Francine possess good early speed and will battle for early honours. MANCHEGO (2) has had his issues this year, not the least being throat surgery, and that recent operation has done the trick as he resumed at Kyneton nearly 3 weeks ago with a big win by a length when charging home late. He stays in the same grade and with only an extra kilo to carry, he can have the last say again. FRANCINE (5) is a local mare who loves her home track. She has shown plenty of pace in her last couple of starts and was only claimed late after leading up a stronger field here 11 days ago, finishing second by a short-head. She slides back a grade and will be the one to peg back again. BORN TO SHINE (7) set the pace fresh up at Avoca just over 3 weeks ago and her condition only gave way late that day, finishing fifth. She usually improves quickly with racing and should be right in the finish this time. Follow your money. EASY JAY (4) ran a much better race when finishing fourth here last time out. He is capable of a top 3 finish this time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Manchego to win.
