A hot tempo is expected with plenty of speed engaged. SCRUB CHAIN (5) hasn't placed in both runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when after getting checked at the start raced well back in the running, then battled on okay to finish fourth of seven over 1100m at this track in a race tempo that suited frontrunners. He has won third-up in the past and rates well as a leading chance. TIZSO FAB (6) after having won two straight victories, went forward to find the front last start and fought on to finish second of six to the hot favourite over 1300m at this track. Dropping back in distance today could prove hard to catch. OBLIGATED (3) is a nine-time winner who has been racing in strong form this prep, including last time out when scoring as the warm favourite over 1300m at this track after racing on the speed. Races well here and can make it a hat-trick. CHERRY ROSE (1) returned to winning form last time out when scoring an easy win over 1200m at Townsville after leading. Each-way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Obligated is well-placed to record a hat-trick.
