Sydney Hobart to boot up on the fence to join A Shin Quantum and On The Move in a keen contest through the early stages. SPIRIT SURGE (7) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 1600m at this track when third, beaten 2.75 lengths. Promising type with improvement to come so she shouldn't be a maiden for long. ON THE MOVE (6) finished third, beaten 4 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1600m at Tokyo after he was in contention on the turn. Likely improver with winning claims. ADMIRE ZOOM (8) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 2.25 lengths from the winner in fourth over 1600m at this track. Must be included among the main hopes. SYDNEY HOBART (1) wasn't far off maiden success before a nine weeks break, finishing the prep with a minor placing at Chukyo. Can pick up where he left off. Can kick off with a bold showing.
