No noted leader on paper so the pace looks moderate.
BOOT OF CORTEZ (2) resumed from a long spell due to knee surgery and needed the run at Yarra Valley just over 2 weeks ago. He showed a fair amount of promise early in his career on this track and with that run under his belt, he should finish a lot closer this time. On top. LOVE 'N' RUN (7) made up some solid late ground when finishing third at long odds. She will find this easier and also starts from a better draw. The extra 100m won't do her any harm and she can take this out but don't expect any fancy odds. BLOOMIN' CRAFTY (1) is a long-time maiden and will be backing up quickly if he starts here. Include in all combinations. HRUNGNIR (4) is resuming from a spell and is meeting a field that lacks depth. He will be stronger this prep and can run into the first four here. Watch for any positive market moves. FUNNY FEELING (6) has been thereabouts in all of her 5 starts this season and has been given a freshen-up since her last run at Leeton nearly 7 weeks ago.
