In a race devoid of pace Samurai Wand will be prominent. CHURCH ROCK (2) resumed for his second prep with an eye catching third over 1006m at Grafton on October 29. Clearly come back well and expected to go close today out to this trip. SAMURAI WAND (4) showed ability in his first prep and maps to get all the favours here. Since fitted with two slick trials and no surprise to see him shed his maiden status. MEASURED (8) resumes for this with the one trial and now in the Allan Chau yard. Placed twice in four first up attempts and the blinkers come off for this. Must be kept safe. WINCHMAN (1) Hellbent gelding from a Snitzel mare on debut for the Paul Shalier stable. Shown ability in four trials and maps well with the tongue-tie added. Market best guide. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 2,4,8,1.
