WHEN DOVES CRY (6) returned from a break last start with a less than impressive 15th over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt after travelling back in the field from the outset. Has a good record at this course and distance, including two wins. Faces an easier assignment so she is one of the main contenders. NOBLE BEACH (8) resumes today after filling a minor placing at his last appearance at this track over 1300m on July 20. Looks a winning chance. CARINA CHAM (4) was in the money two starts back at this track but couldn't back it up last time when eighth, beaten 16 lengths, at this track over 1400m. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. SLIGHT MAD (2) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1300m at this track, beaten 16 lengths into sixth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
