Strong pace with Orchid Romance and Lumiere Noire crossing from wide out. SHADOW FURY (11) returns after a spell of six months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1400m at this track. Should be hard to stop. TINIA (8) won over 1200m at Chukyo at his most recent appearance on August 31. Has ability and should be right in the finish. KANGCHENJUNGA (1) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish sixth, beaten 1.1 lengths, over 1200m in stakes class at Kyoto. Sure to prove tough to stop. MAR D'IRLANDA (9) was well-fancied when resuming last start but could only manage fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1400m in stakes class at Niigata. Has never missed the frame second up. Can do better this time.
