Shelby is expected to lead at a strong tempo. CHAMO (2) showed good early muster and fought on to finish third last start over 1000m at Monbetsu. Drawn to stalk the leaders. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. SHELBY (4) has been in the betting at both starts but hasn't managed to break through. Most recently finished fourth over 1400m at this track, beaten 6 lengths. Capable enough so worth another chance. MONDO (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at Funabashi, beaten 7 lengths into sixth after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a nice race and can get the job done. TERUKEN YUMI MOON (3) was beaten 20 lengths into seventh in a 1400m contest at this track at her latest appearance. Capable when right, keep safe.
