Plenty of first starters engaged which makes for a tricky map. It is reasonable to assume a keen tempo over this sprint course.
RED BEAUTY (7) ran the race of an improver when finishing second at Albury just over 2 weeks ago. She can race close to the pace here and should go close to taking it out. LUNAR MOJO (3) ran on too late last start after getting a long way back from a wide draw over 900m. He will naturally improve second-up and gets top hoop Nick Souquet in the saddle this time. Each way claims from a superior gate. FLITGROVE (4) has not quite lived up to her trial form but will be peaking third up. Her stable is running hot and she is more than capable of taking this out, even from a tricky gate. IMMORTAL JOY (5) did well off a wide draw at Yarra Valley last time out and draws the ace gate this time. Jake Duffy replaces an apprentice and she can figure in the top 3 this time. PROVEN SOUL (6) just battled on debut but had no luck at all after being caught wide the whole way. Damian Lane steps into the irons and she is expected to improve quickly. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Immortal Joy each way.
