TAKING A RISK (3) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second at Turffontein Inside over 1000m after being in the firing line all the way. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. PRINCESS OF ALL (2) finished 4 lengths from the winner in fourth last start after being in contention on the turn over 1000m at Turffontein Inside, an improvement on her sixth at Vaal the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. RUBY FROM HEAVEN (10) did little and finished 9 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1450m at Vaal last start, a less impressive effort than her seventh on debut at this track the run before. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. |

MAGIC CARPET RIDE (7) is yet to break through in three runs. Below best latest but form prior to that good for this. At top and expected to go close. WINTER BELLE (8) started at $3 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 6 lengths at Vaal over 1000m. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. STONEYWOOD (5) stepped out for his debut over 1200m at Vaal back on October 9 and finished ninth, beaten 12 lengths. Well supported but disappointing on debut. Spelled and gelded since. DELAWARE RIVER (2) looks the cleat top pick. Was just tipped out last time similar distance. Long overdue and well placed to take this out. AQUARIUS (7) improved nicely on debut to pace last time and has good upside. Strong winning hope. PALACE SCRIPT (10) hasn't been far away both starts to date. Improver who should be right in the finish. KORTVANDRAAD (1) is much better than last two suggest. Fitter and can do much better. |

Very strong race. ONE EYE ON VEGAS (6) was a winner three back then good in two runs since. Back a notch on last couple and continues to race well. Winning rider back aboard and extra trip a plus. Expected to go close. SHADOWFAX (4) is a talented galloper who was game in defeat second-up in Grade 2 company when fourth. Should be near his top and this far easier. Huge threat. TINA LOVELACE (8) was runner in at the top level before a spell. Fitter and looks a winning hope. ARISTOTLE (1) was beaten a long way last time but it was in Grade 2 company. Best form stacks up and worth another chance. |

BUDDY BOY (1) is a promising type back in grade on last couple. This is well within his grasp. GAMER (11) is on the quick back-up and way better than last run. Makes plenty of appeal from the inside barrier. CARNELO (12) is very well weighted with the claim. Fitter again and a winning hope. |

Even distance race. DOUGLAS DRAGON (3) is building towards a win, the latest a narrow loss over 2000m. Placed only try course and distance and likely to measure up again. CORRUPT (2) has placed three of four this time in and has the ability to be in the finish. Goes very well here including placing only try course and distance. Take catching. TITANS OF WAR (6) is much better than last run. First try at trip but is a course winner. Leading chance. CHABAL (7) is in top firm winning last two including the latest this trip. Should run well again. |

Thereabouts last start and looks a definite winning hope off the low draw. POPLAR PARK (3) is fitter for two runs in and expected to improve sharply over the extra ground. Placed only try third-up and is a winner only try course and distance. Genuine chance this time around. KEY WORKER (4) has been mixing form but best form stacks up and goes well here. Will run the trip and can improve sharply. |

Top race. CALLMEGETRIX (2) is a talented galloper in great form. Runner-up in the Grade 2 Charity Mile last time and did beat Rodeo Drive home. Freshened since. Top record at the mile and well up to this level. The one to beat. RODEO DRIVE (5) ran third in the Charity Mile and has been given a sprint assignment sine where she wasn't disgraced in fourth. Will go close back to the mile. KISSHOTEN (3) is hard to knock with three wins and three minors from last six. Course and distance winner only try. Expected to give a sight. MINOGUE (4) is in great form with wins last two. Some query at the mile in this level but hard to fault recent form. |

QUIET WINTER (10) was a most impressive winner last time over 1160m at this track, scoring by 3.5 lengths. Has been in solid form this campaign with a win and two minor placings from three starts. Strong claims on best figures. SPY STORY (11) was in the placings again last time when 1.2 lengths adrift in second over 1160m at this track. Long overdue and gets chance. |

TOP DIVISION (2) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 1000m at Vaal, clocking in 3 lengths from the winner. Looks ready to win and gets chance. BANYAN (4) recorded his maiden win five back and is ready to score again after a couple of recent minor placings, the latest when third at Vaal. Yet to miss the frame from four starts at the trip, including a win and is sure to play a big role. ONE TIGER (7) turned in a strong performance first-up when in the money at Vaal but disappointed last time when eighth, beaten 10 lengths, at Turffontein Inside over 1000m. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. LONELY AS A CLOUD (10) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1000m at Vaal, beaten 0.7 lengths. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. |
