BJS ATTVEST MAIDEN 2000m
Declared Innocent should lead and dictate terms. AGRABAH (2) steps out to this course and distance again following a 1.5L defeat over 1800m at Ascot 22 days ago. He's placed 2/3 at this track and trip and the better draw should suit his chances. Been a maiden for a long time, but looks to have found his race now. KERMELIA (6) went under by 0.2L at the Scarpside here two back before a 1.1L defeat in a slowly run race at Northam last time out. Was closing off strongly there and shapes for a similar run this time around. Can feature in the finish once again in what looks a suitable race. SAVVY RULER (8) was slowly away last start, but was able to kick up and hold a position, ending up 2.5L off the winner. Winkers go on now for the first time and she has plenty of upside. Can go a couple better without surprising. DECLARED INNOCENT (1) set the moderate tempo at Northam last start and couldn't sprint away. Pike rides now though and he can feature. GINGER AND TONIC (7) steps right up in trip now and is not to be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Agrabah looks to have found his race. |

BJS ELANTIS MAIDEN 1000m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Royal Defense. THE AGENCY (1) is a 3YO colt on resumption for the Andrews stable. He was a late scratching here on Anzac Day due to a floating mishap, but looks well placed in this event. Visors come off now for Noske who sticks from his only trial coming in. Can resume on a winning note. DARK OPAL (9) sat on the speed down the straight course here last start and just missed, beaten 0.2L in a strong effort. The wide draw suits for the straight course and the red-hot Fiore now rides. Can go one better this time. WON FOR THE GIRLS (3) sat on the speed at Northam first-up over 1100m and while he was beaten 1.6L, Pike sticks in the saddle. Will need some luck from out wide, but has some class and is not to be discounted. HOPE TO RULE (11) bolted in at the trials recently and can make an impression first-up. HIDDEN JEWELS (7) has shown enough at the trials to suggest he can run a cheeky race on debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Agency can return on a winning note. |

BJS 360 UNDERWRITING MAIDEN 1200m
Anticipate a moderate tempo is a race devoid of recognised speedsters. HEAVY METAL (7) missed as favourite first-up at York before again flying home in good splits over 1300m on the Scarpside here last time out. Now third-up and drawn a better gate, which should hopefully see her sit closer in the run. If she can take closer order this time, she should be going one better. APHRODITE MAGIC (10) is a lightly-raced filly who looked good at the trials coming into this event. She was tested in stronger company in her first two runs of the campaign despite being off a long break. Stable has hit the reset button on her now and she can put her best foot forward. REGAL SERVICE (4) was sound without setting the world on fire in his debut campaign, but he moved well in his recent outing under CJP. He sticks with the gelding today and the inside draw is a big tick. Rates highly. LE BEAU (1) hasn't been sighted since a disappointing run last start but he can bounce back. ROYAL TALK (11) is better than she showed last start and can return to form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Heavy Metal can get the job done this time. |

BJS ATC MAIDEN 1200m
Disco Kicks is the likely leader at a slick tempo. LAVISH CHARM (4) resumes today on the back of a nice trial at Lark Hill coming into this. He showed good ability in his debut campaign and looks to have gone to another level this time in work. CJP rides from a good alley and with plenty of upside, he can return on a positive note. CANNYKEV (3) is knocking on the door of a maiden victory, beaten 2.7L behind a smart one at Northam most recently. The form out of that race has already been franked and he has the speed to cross from out wide. Ticks a few boxes and should be right in the finish. LAST SHOUT (6) looks a smart horse on debut for the Fitz-Gerald yard, having trialled well leading in. The claim of ZJP comes in handy and he shouldn't be far away. DISCO KICKS (8) tired late first-up but sets up nicely for this. Can go close with the run under her belt. YANKEE ACE (5) is ticking along nicely at the trials and won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lavish Charm can get the job done. |

BJS VERO MAIDEN 1600m
Solid tempo anticipated with Hell's Citi and Highly Spoken pressing forward with Ah Kum not far away. ALABRAE (4) rattled home from the rear last start to just miss in a close finish over 1500m on the Scarpside here. He's a lightly-raced gelding and showed last start he has some ability. Maps for a closer run this time and if he can run up to his sectionals last start, he'll be hard to hold out. WOLFMAN (2) missed by 2.1L last start at Ascot but steps up to the mile for just the second time today. He was placed at his only attempt over the mile and rates highly on his recent form. Can put his best foot forward. LONG WAIT (9) is a long-time maiden but showed she's knocking on the door in recent efforts. She was just too far back to threaten at Albany last start when favourite, but the run prior suggested she wasn't far away. CJP rides now and she can feature. HELL'S CITI (1) should appreciate the slight rise in trip and will be flying home late in the race. HIGHLY SPOKEN (3) is better than he showed last start and can bounce back as he steps up in trip again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Alabrae to shed the maiden tag. |

BJS UAA MAIDEN 1600m
Rocking In Vegas sets a genuine tempo, kicking up on the inside in a keen early contest. ROCKING IN VEGAS (1) flew home from well back last start to be 2.2L off a smart winner at Ascot and now steps out to the mile for the first time. The rise in trip looks to suit this son of Awesome Rock and the form out of that race has been solid. Maps for a better run this time around and can land the knockout blow. SKY RIVER (8) just missed over 1400m at Ascot last start, finishing 0.8L off the winner. Her race was straight after the event Rocking In Vegas comes through, with Sky River's event being much slower on the clock over the same track and trip. Third-up now though and can put her best foot forward. JACKPOT BINGO (2) drops right back in trip now after trying over 2200m following a strong effort at Ascot over 1800m prior. Looks better suited here with Pike on and can bounce back. COSTA STAR (6) is on the quick turnaround today and can bounce back to her best out in trip. PRETEY ROYAL (7) is ticking along nicely and is not to be discounted. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rocking In Vegas can get the job done. |

BJS MECON HANDICAP 2000m
Heaps Of Moolah and Arnray can set an even tempo. ELEGANT INDI (9) stormed home in slick splits to score at Northam as favourite, getting the job done by 1.1L. Back to the 2000m journey today but that doesn't look an issue and Pike remains in the irons. Showed plenty of class last start and with more upside to come, she can go bring up back-to-back wins. STARWALKER (7) steps up to this trip for the second time in his career and was a winner at his only attempt over this trip. He was just too far back to threaten last start at Northam as favourite, but the form out of that race has already been franked. Can get back to winning ways. BEEJAY BOY (4) finished 2.8L off the winner at Northam when behind Starwalker last time out, but is a course and distance winner earlier this preparation. Cooper's claim comes in handy at he's right in the mix on recent performances. CHANTEL (5) is knocking on the door in recent efforts and should be thereabouts once again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Elegant Indi can go on with the job. |

BJS SOUTH WEST INSURANCE HANDICAP 1400m
Expecting Big Karri to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. SHAMILIAN MISS (6) won two back at this track before a 2.3L defeat at Northam 11 days ago. That form may have been franked in the race prior however she drops back to 1400m on this occasion. The draw is sticky, but she's shown class in her prior runs and can bounce back to winning ways today. IDEALLY (5) resumed in impressive fashion at Ascot as she stormed home from the back, finishing 1.6L off the winner. CJP now hops in the saddle in a good push for her chances and she won off a similar setup to break her maiden last campaign. Ticks plenty of boxes and looks the main danger. BIG KARRI (2) led them up over 1300m on the Scarpside here last start and was simply too good. Has plenty of upside and it wouldn't surprise to see him bring up another win. CHOICE THINKING (1) just missed at Ascot fresh and the form out of that race has been solid. Can be in the finish again. THE LUCKY CHIP (7) can be thereabouts on resumption. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shamilian Miss makes plenty of appeal. |

BJS PERTH HANDICAP 1600m
Icebergs to take charge ahead of Brazen Empress at a solid tempo. WOZZECK (9) just missed at Northam last start as an $18 chance as he flew home from near the tail of the field. He's been slowly away his past couple which is a niggle, but he'll be at peak fitness now. He drops in weight and if he jumps with them, look out. L'IL CAPRI (8) gets Pike back in the saddle after a 2.7L defeat at Ascot last start. Her win two back rates well in this field and it wouldn't surprise to see her sit closer this time around. Can bounce back to winning form. WAR MATTERS (7) can improve on what we saw from him last time out. ICEBERGS (1) looked good in a recent trial and this trip should suit first-up. Can pick up where he left off. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Wozzeck in the finale. |
