NUM TIME COMMENT
1 05:27 AUSTRALIAN PACING GOLD PACE 1720m
SIR JIMMY (11) was brave in returning to the winners' list last time, coming from a similar barrier and racing three wide without cover before getting home by 2.8 metres. That was his fourth success from his last six starts and took his unbeaten record at this circuit and distance to four. Can do it again. SMOKEN ACE (6) chased a smart one when a 3.7m second here last start. Draws wider but beat Sir Jimmy home when fourth in the Listed City Of Melton Plate last month. Contender. ROCKANDANCE (8) must be considered having added to a series of top-four finishes with a 1.9m third here three weeks ago and draws for a trail. SWEETPASSION (7) is up in grade but must be respected after winning both starts since a spell.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
2 06:02 CENTRE STATE PRINTING PACE 1720m
GOLDEN TRIBE (6) made it three wins from his last five starts when he enjoyed a class drop last time, leading to score by close to 4 metres at circuit and distance. Draws wider but is going well enough to overcome that and keep the ball rolling. COLLECTIVE WORKS (2) produced a good effort at his latest appearance, coming from the back row for a 2.7m second at Hobart. Has the benefit of a good draw and with his best form can play a major role. THE IRON DUKE (1) improved last time out to come from the back row for a 2.5m third at this venue and draws to advantage. BROWNIESATMIDNIGHT (11) took his strike rate at this distance range to 50 per cent when he came from a similar draw for a resuming win at Ballarat. Respect.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
3 06:32 DOWNUNDER SULKY PACE 1720m
MY ULTIMATE BARNEY (8) was well in the market when midfield here last time but did come from a wider barrier on this row. Should enjoy a nice trail this time and he owns a strong record at this distance. His best form would win this. JACCKA CONNOR (12) cops a tricky draw on the back row but there was merit in the latest effort for fourth at this venue and distance. Capable of playing a major role. THE ANSWER (5) will be strip fitter second-up and is in the mix following a respectable third at Bendigo when resuming. CLYMENUS (4) draws well and has claims after placing in the last two outings.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
4 07:00 WASTE SENSE 3YO TROT 2240m
GATESYS GEM (1) was one of the leading fillies of last season, winning six of nine starts. Scored at Bendigo when last seen in November to follow her second in the Breeders Crown Final here. Two from two when fresh and has been readied with three nice trials. The ace draw gives her every chance to make a winning return. Last season's Vicbred Super Series winner COMMODUS (8) started a hot favourite when resuming at Cranbourne but broke and finished fourth. Draws for a trail and won his lone second-up attempt so can improve plenty. SASSY GALLEON (11) could be an improver second-up while last-start maiden winner HODY MOKE (2) has been kept up to the mark with a trial win and draws well so include.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
5 07:39 CNC ROUTER BITS PACE 2240m
METEOR MOTH (4) has been a beaten favourite in both starts at this circuit since a spell but was only edged out narrowly each time, coming from the back row to miss by a nose last start. He is two from two when third-up so should be peaking and gets his chance from a better draw. CRIME WRITER (8) comes off a good showing in the Mildura Cup last start, beaten 3.7 metres. That was his fourth successive placing and he should get a nice trail so can feature again. MY UNCLE STAN (5) has claims off a win from the back row here last month while NEW YORKER (10) is in the mix after turning in a good effort last start to finish third at this venue.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
6 08:10 GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND TROT 2240m
Manners are a concern for AARDIES PEAK (1) having galloped in each of her three starts this time in but she still managed to overcome an early break to win here two back. She'll need to get it right from the inside draw but she is good enough if on her game. MITCHELL WRAP (4) hasn't been too far from the placings of late, coming from the back row for fourth at his latest appearance at this venue. Leading hope returning to the front line. LADY IN THE SKY (5) came from this barrier when scoring twice in a row before placing from the second line last start. Contender. ALDEBARAN DEMI (9) is heading the right way, improving last time out to finish second at Shepparton. Go well.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
7 08:41 ANGELIQUE CLUB THE PEARL FINAL 1720m
SOAP AND BUBBLES (2) is a lightly-raced but progressive filly who has won her last two outings at Bendigo, last time leading from this barrier before getting home by more than 8 metres. Expect her to push forward again so looks likely to land the hat trick. TIVOLI (3) has ground to make up on Soap Bubbles through her resuming second but she should strip fitter for that and has yet to miss the top-three so should perform well again. SASSY GABBY (5) had to work last start but is capable of more having scored a win three back at Cobram. Last-start placegetter FORESIGHT (1) can be competitive from the ace draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
8 09:10 RENOWN SILVERWARE TROTTERS FREE FOR ALL 2240m
HARRY STAMPER (3) had been about the mark before getting the job done at his latest appearance at this circuit and distance, coming from a wider barrier to score by 3.4 metres. Kept up to the mark with a trial since. Leading hope. IM READY JET (7) returns from a forgettable trip to NZ where she galloped in The Race but she had kicked off her campaign with back-to-back wins here including a G1 for the mares. Draws wide but can win with better manners. ALDEBARAN ZEUS (4) draws better than last start and beat Harry Stamper to win here last month so is on the radar. WATTS UP PARTYTIME (6) placed behind Harry Stamper but the best version of him is capable of beating these.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
9 09:38 SWIFT SIGNS TROT 1720m
KEAYANG LAVITA (3) is a progressive mare who made it six wins from her last seven starts when she led from wider to score by 3.2m last week. That was her second win from as many attempts at this circuit and distance. A good draw can see her do it again. PINNIE (4) had a favourable gate and was too good at this circuit two starts ago but was held up from the back row last week. With better fortune she could return to winning form. AVANT GUARD (6) must be considered after he raced parked but fought on for a 2m second here last week. DESTRIER (1) improved to place when second-up from this barrier last week. Could progress further.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
