NUM TIME COMMENT
1 05:14 CLASSIQUE LANDSCAPERS MOBILE PACE 2200m
THE SURFER (8) is a consistent gelding yet to miss a place this time in. Scored a second-up win two back at Cambridge before another solid showing for third last time. Drops to the distance that has produced all five of his wins. Draws wide but is going well enough to win from there. ALWAYS B ELITE (4) did it tough last time so it may pay to forgive that. Nice effort to fill a minor placing at the previous appearance here. Reaching peak fitness and is capable of taking this out. SEACLUSION (10) returns after four-and-a-half months but has recorded a win and two placings from three fresh attempts so expect a forward showing. ALWAYS B YOU (7) has claims off a win here two back.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
2 05:41 LONE STAR ALEXANDRA PARK MOBILE TROT 2200m
FAITH IN MANCHESTER (12) has the hoof on the till after finishing runner-up in three of her last four outings, each time when off a 20m handicap. Only went under narrowly here last time. With even luck from her back row draw she can break through. HILLBILLY BLUES (8) in good form having recorded two wins and two minor placings from the past four starts at this circuit. Was just behind Faith In Manchester in the latest outing. Draws wide but the form is hard to knock. LUBY'S LUCK (4) is on the radar after her last-start fourth against the good three-year-olds in the Harness Million Final. WALKINONSUNSHINE (7) hasn't featured in the last two outings but had recorded a win and two placings from the previous three so is capable of better.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
3 06:09 GALLAGHER INSURANCE YOUNG GUNS 2YOF SERIES HEAT 2 MOB PACE 1700m
Promising Australian filly RIPPLES (3) crosses the Tasman having impressively won her two starts to date. Worked to the front from a wider barrier before cruising home in a Gold Tiara heat on debut then raced three wide without cover when toughing out a brilliant win the Group 1 final. Hails from a leading Victorian yard and can take full advantage of the good draw. THE QUEENS GAMBIT (1) took advantage of this draw when scoring at this circuit and distance last time. That was just her second start so while this is stronger she has scope for further improvement. ALECTO (6) progressed off a debut second to post a G3 win at Addington last start. Draws wider but has upside so it may pay to stick with her. RIVER (9) can progress off a nice debut.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
4 06:40 BRECKON FARMS YOUNG GUNS 2YO C&G SERIES HEAT 2 MOB PACE 1700m
ANDRETTI (6) looks a gelding of good promise. Was runner-up to race rival Fugitive on debut before turning the tables on him with a good win at Cambridge last time. Draws wider but has plenty of upside so can go back to back. FUGITIVE (4) impressed when easily beating Fugitive for a debut win at this circuit then came from wider than that rival when close to him last time. The switch in barrier fortunes gives him the chance to return to the winners list. FITZROY (3) made an encouraging debut when third at Addington. Draws closer to the pegs and is open to natural improvement. ALLAMERICANPLAYER (2) has yet to miss a place in his three starts here including a win. Respect.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
5 07:21 PASCOES THE JEWELLERS NORTHERN OAKS MOBILE PACE (Gr1) 2700m
BESIDE ME (4) made it two from two at this circuit when she returned to the winner's list in last week's prelude, her fifth success from her last six starts. She was dominant there, coming from one spot wider to find the front and dictate. She can do the same again tonight. STELLA ROUGE (5) is on the up having won her two starts at this venue since a spell, the latest in the Harness Million 3F Final. Has had five weeks off but winning form is hard to knock and she looks the main danger. WITHOUT YOU (9) defeated Beside Me to win at Cambridge two back before chasing that rival as runner-up in last week's prelude. Starts alone on the second row and can get into the finish again. ARAFURA (1) has been runner-up behind the first and third selections in her last two outings. The ace draw can see her competitive again.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
6 07:56 BRECKON FARMS NORTHERN TROTTING DERBY MOBILE TROT (Gr1) 2700m
MEANT TO BE (14) stretched his winning streak to six when he made a successful return in the Harness Million Final at this circuit a fortnight ago. He should only be improved by the hitout and showed his class last campaign with a string of feature victories in the Sires' Stakes and Ace of Clubs. He can add another tonight. HIGHER POWER (4) was first up for six months when he chased Meant to Be as runner up last start. There was plenty to like about that performance and he should be better for it. Could pose a challenge. HABIBTI PAT (12) made mistakes when resuming but was one of the leading fillies of last season, winning five of six starts up to G1 level and placing behind Meant To Be in the other. Fitter and worth another chance. WATERLOO STATION (13) added to a string of wins and placings when scoring last time at Addington. Must rate among the chances.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
7 08:23 WOODLANDS STUD NORTHERN DERBY MOBILE PACE (Gr1) 2700m
MARKETPLACE (1) suffered a surprise defeat when runner-up as a hot favourite last time but he was having his first outing for four weeks since his Harness Million 3CG Final win at this circuit so the hitout should have topped him off for this. He is all class and the inside draw gives him every chance to atone. GOT THE CHOCOLATES (3) got one back on Marketplace when winning here last week after kicking off his campaign with a string of placings. Draws wider than Marketplace this time and that won't make it easy but he is very reliable so looks the main challenger. RUNKLE CRUNCH (2) scored his third win from as many visits to this circuit this time in when coming from a wider barrier last start. This is stronger but the good draw can see him competitive. GREASED LIGHTNIN (6) faces a class test in this line-up but he came from a similar draw to win here last start so is worth including.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
8 08:48 H R FISKEN & SONS ANZAC CUP HANDICAP TROT (Gr1) 2200m
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN (13) is a reliable trotter who added to a long string of top-four finishes when he returned to the winners' list in the Lyell Creek Stakes last time. That took his record at this circuit and distance to three from three. Big chance to maintain that perfect record. Manners let OSCAR BONAVENA (12) down last start but he was racing in fine form prior including a win over several of tonight's rivals in the Waikato Flying Mile two back. If he gets it right he has the class to win. QUEEN ELIDA (9) has performed well as runner-up in her two starts since crossing the Tasman. Quality mare who can make an again. MIGHTY LOGAN (3) will be fitter for the resuming placing when off a 30m handicap. Draws well so can be competitive.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
9 09:21 DAWSON HARFORD NZ MESSENGER MOBILE PACE (Gr1) 2700m
REPUBLICAN PARTY (1) recorded his best result since returning from Australia when he came from a wider barrier and finished runner-up to race rival We Walk By Faith in the Taylor Mile here last start. Has won an Invercargill Cup over this longer distance and should get his chance from the inside draw. CHASE A DREAM (6) has roared back into peak form in his last two outings, coming from this barrier to beat topliner Merlin and win the Waikato Flying Mile two back before chasing Aussie champ Leap To Fame as runner-up in The Race. A repeat of those performances would see him hard to stop. DON'T STOP DREAMING (10) faded after working last start but had won three of his previous four so it may pay to give him another chance. RAKERO ROCKET (3) did a good job to place from the back row in the Taylor Mile last start. Draws nicely and deserves respect. MO'UNGA (9) hasn't had a lot go to plan of late but with some luck from his back row draw he can be dangerous.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
10 09:51 AUCKLAND CO-OP TAXIS 300-3000 MOBILE PACE 2200m
TYTATE (3) progressed off a midfield finish when fresh to clock in second at her latest appearance at this circuit and distance. Has the benefit of a good draw and should be close to her peak now so gets her chance to break through. CRUMSY (7) resumes from a spell of six months after closing off last campaign in good form, the last outing being a solid second at this venue. Likely to have developed further with maturity so may prove hard to beat on his return. PRINCESS GRACY (1) has come from the back row in both outings since a spell, including when she resumed with a nice second. Building in fitness and better served by this draw. MICK KONSTANTIN (10) is a four-year-old gelding on debut. Has shown some ability at the workouts so keep him safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY:
