Genuine pace headed by Tidal Surge from her wide gate. GINGER SWEET (16) settled in behind the speed last start over 1400m at Pakenham and fought on well to finish third of 12 which followed a fifth two starts back when on debut. Has a wide gate to contend with but should strip a lot fitter and with luck in the running should go close to taking this race out. DOUBLE GLAZED (15) has had two starts this prep and failed to fire in both runs although he didn't have a lot of luck in the running last start so best to forget that effort. Strips a lot fitter today and in this line-up should be returning to form. MEXICAN FIDDLER (3) faded in the run home over 1400m at Sale last start when trying to lead all of the way. Racing on his home track here and in this line-up has solid each-way claims. GALAN (2) after jumping from a wide draw last time got well back int he running and finished a disappointing seventh of eight over 1600m at Caulfield Heath after having placed in five of his last six starts. Better than that last run suggests and can atone. SUGGESTED PLAY: Double Glazed each-way.
