BIRTHDAY SUIT (3) turned in a real eye-catcher when resuming last start over 1106m at Ararat, knuckling down late to be beaten just a neck after settling near the tail. Expect her to hold that form, with the extra 100m a big tick. FAVANNA (4) raced near the speed and didn't do a bad job to hold on for fourth last time out over 1100m at Flemington. Won her maiden over this distance at Cranbourne the run prior. Progressive filly with strong credentials. ROYAL TELEPHONE (6) was poor at Ballarat last start after a dogged all-the-way maiden win at Geelong a fortnight earlier. Worth another chance. CAPITOL QUEEN (1) is back in trip after finding the line well over 1300m at Canberra a month ago. Capable of mixing it with these. GABSTAR (2) races well here and is in the mix first-up from a five-month absence. SUGGESTED PLAY: Like Birthday Suit in the last.
