No obvious leader in a race that lacks much early pressure on paper. RACHEL (4) was popular with punters last time out but disappointed when sixth over 1300m at Mizusawa. Was only beaten 6 lengths and we know that she is capable of playing a major role on her best form. MARUKEI REDAN (3) was out of the money two runs back then good last start over 1400m at Mizusawa, beaten 2 lengths into fifth. Nicely placed on the back of that close up effort. LILY JASPER (6) started at $7.80 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 11 lengths at this track over 1200m. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. KEN RYUJO (8) settled well back and failed to live up to expectations over 1400m at Mizusawa last time out when in the market. That followed a good second the run prior. Anticipating a big run this time.
