Anticipating a stack of early pressure over the sprint course with many of these lining up for the first time. TATSU (8) began awkwardly then pushed forward and battled on well for third when resuming over this distance at Kyneton last start. Lightly raced gelding who looks the one to beat with Blake Shinn taking the mount. CHECK YOUR SIX (2) returned from a spell with an eye-catching performance a fortnight ago over this course and distance, making up many lengths to grab third. May need further but should be charging home again. AUTO MAX (1) defied his cricket score odds when beaten a whisker recently over this course and distance. Has only raced twice so there is plenty of improvement in the locker. LUNARSHOT (9) returned in good order at The Heath last start in a strong form race. Wide gate the only knock. Debutante SUANCES (11) for Moody/Coleman has taken a long while to get to the track. Jump-out form is just fair, however the engagement of Damian Lane raises the eyebrows. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tatsu just gets the verdict in an interesting maiden.
