Many of these step out for the first time so a frantic pace is likely early on over this sharp trip. DRIFT NET (4) is knocking on the door and was only run down late when finishing runner-up at Cranbourne a fortnight ago after being sent out as favourite. She will be peaking third up and is probably the early front-runner again. Those tactics usually work out well on this circuit and she can take them all of the way this time. DIVINE TURF (3) lost her rider at her last run before going for a spell but before that, she was progressing nicely. She is a promising filly who is up to running into the money fresh up in this. BLAZING BROOK (1) ran out of steam on debut and will be better for that hit-out. An extra furlong second up is ideal and Declan Bates is sticking with her. Each-way value. ONE SIDED LOVE (9) is resuming from a spell that would have done her the world of good and she looked ready to rumble when finishing second in a recent trial. A wide draw is against her but with luck in the running, she has solid first-four claims in an open race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Drift Net to win.
