Strong tempo from the outset as a number of them push forward, with Erimitage, Strewn Sky and Breath Of Magic leading the charge. ERIMITAGE (1) showed good improvement in his last start over 1400m at the Vaal when finishing third of nine. He was running on nicely at the finish and is having his peak run today. Rates highly. SCARS OF WAR (11) produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on the Vaal Classic course last start when finishing third of eight when well supported. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She should give the males a decent run for their money. STREWN SKY (2) was slightly disappointing in his last start. He ran a good race when second in his penultimate start over 1160m on the Standside course. He is having his peak run today and must be included in exotic bets. BREATH OF MAGIC (3) is racing consistently with placings at his past three starts, including a third at this track most recently. Has place claims.
