Barge And Charge and Authoritarian shape as the anticipated lead pair. HONEY'S STEEL GOLD highlighted his versatility when returning from the jumps to salute here amongst this class over 2500m. He is chasing a fourth straight win here and there is little to suggest he can't go on with things. FLYING CASINO was hitting the line strongly behind him to finish second last start. The gelding should be peaking fourth up and must be a chance of turning the tables. The staying race is a bit of a hurdler's flat. HONEY STEEL'S GOLD had been winning jumps races then went back to a similar flat race and won nicely. He even ran odds on in that. At least he's wanting to win his races compared to some others. FLYING CASINO easily ran his best race in a long while. He hit the line strongly and will be better for that run at the journey. AZURITE runs off a quick back up after contesting Victorian races. That form in the end could end up better. TUNES struggled last time but the key to him is getting back onto a dry track. Monitor those conditions for him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Little reason to get off Honey's Steel Gold. Back him straight out.
