Small field but Fantasy Girl, Global Scene and Project Runway can ensure a genuine tempo. PROJECT RUNWAY (4) produced a promising debut effort over 1000m on this course. She was slowly into stride but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish to run second was encouraging. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should prove hard to beat. FANTASY GIRL (1) resumes from a spell having finished fifth of eight over 1000m at this track last start when well supported. She should love the extra 200m on offer and is one of the leading contenders. THREAD OF LIFE (6) ran a fair race on debut over this course and distance last start when finishing fifth of seven at long odds. She would have gained from the experience and with Raymond Danielson in the saddle has place claims. TARTAN QUEEN (5) is an unraced daughter of William Longsword from the Gavin Smith stable with Luyolo Mxothwa in the saddle. If not too green, she should give a good account of herself. The betting market should prove a good guide with regards to her chances.
