Hakatere to take charge at a solid tempo. CATHAY BRACELET (11) finished fourth of 12 over 1500m two starts back when resuming from a spell as the favourite, then last start filled a similar position when sent out as the odds-on favourite over 1500m at Kilcoy after getting checked at the start and having to race wide early. Jumping from a handy draw has strong winning claims. HAKATERE (4) was well supported when on debut last start over 1400m at Eagle Farm and after racing up on the speed battled on okay to finish fifth of 13. With racing experience now behind him should be figuring in the finish. SUPER QUICK (7) has placed in five of his last six starts, including last time out when finishing second of 12 over 1350m at this track. Over a longer trip today can go one place better. STORM DREAMER (10) came home well to finish second of 14 over 1350m two starts back and then disappointed last start when only finishing seventh of nine over 166m at Ipswich. Dropping back to country grade here rates well as a leading chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hakatere each-way.
