Good pace with Kulina booting up inside the speedy pair Avid General and Troubled Times. DERELICT (3) improved through his initial prep and won his last race in the spring before going for a spell. He resumed in great shape by winning fresh up at Mornington nearly 3 weeks ago and will only improve further with more racing. He is a very progressive type who can take the next step immediately. BARN ZEE (4) seemed to prefer to roll along in front and he was less than a length from the winner when finishing third at Benalla a fortnight ago after making most of the running that day. He has 100 metres less to travel this time and should be the one to peg back. AVID GENERAL (1) is a tough veteran who has lost none of his zest for racing after leading all the way at Echuca last time out. He is still on the up with his fitness and gets to stay in the same grade. A 4-kilo claim means he has less weight to carry and another win is not beyond him. KULINA (10) has been in great form on the picnic circuit recently and should notice the 15-kilo weight drop from her last run. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Derelict to win.
