Wilderness Star has the pace to take up the running at a solid tempo. BOLD HOI HO (2) returned to the winner's list last start with a powerful effort over 1300m at Armidale. Kept fresh since that outing five weeks ago. Getting up in the weights but he is a trier and looks the one to beat again. NEVADA SMOKE (12) improved last time out at the second run back from an eight-week let-up, making late ground to just miss the placings over this distance at Tamworth. Wide gate doesn't help so each-way the best option. LADY SOAMES (4) caught the eye when resuming at Muswellbrook a month ago. In the mix despite a poor barrier. WILDERNESS STAR (7) has been racing well over the mile here recently. Should be thereabouts again. THREETIMESALADY (3) is a model of consistency and maps beautifully from the nice gate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bold Hoi Ho on top.
