Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but over this trip there is certain to be plenty of early pressure. GOLDEN NICE (2) was doing her best work late last start to get up for third over 1200m at this track. Can run over the top of them late. SHINING MORNING (9) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1300m at this track, beaten 6 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. KING DRAGON (12) didn't do a lot on debut five weeks ago, finishing 9 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1200m at this track. Open to plenty of improvement. Expected to be competitive. DEFENSE PLAY (7) is a colt by Lion Metal out of Mustang Queen who is at the races for the first time today. Fitter for a recent trial. Worth watching for a betting move.
