NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:04 MEN MATTER JULY 20 QTIS Two-Year-Old Maiden Plate 1200m
Lack of speed evident which paves the way for Butwedid to be prominent. MISS TRUSTFUL (5) trialled well and wasn't beaten far at Gosford on debut as a $3 favourite. Has been switched north by the Ciaron Maher barn and appeals with the extra fitness drawn to advantage. BUTWEDID (1) just missed in Listed grade on debut and was better second-up finding one too good on the SC poly. Fitter again and can go close. MISHANI EMPIRE (4) went close on the SC poly on debut and it was a tough effort. Flopped here after and the jockey suggested she was looking for longer. Gets that today and expect a much better effort. TWINKLE TIME (7) debuts and has trialled well here. Has the blinkers applied and the former Canberran Ward rides. Keep safe.  SUGGESTED PLAY: With Miss Trustful.
2 12:39 LIFEFLIGHT LOTTERIES Maiden Plate 1200m
Only a moderate early tempo with no recognised leaders taking part. STRONG MARTINI (7) resumes for a sharp local yard and the in-form Wiggins is booked. She's looked the goods in her recent trials and she's sure to have come on. Expect a bold return. I AM AMAZES (5) improved again beaten a whisker here and then got too far back in stronger at Ipswich. Draws low today and can get back on track. BOOM CRUSHER (1) resumes for the Healy yard and placed here on debut. Just missed at Toowoomba after and gauge his ability on that. Has a small claim and has had two soft trials. CHERBOURG (2) was better again just beaten here off a wide barrier. Finally draws low and has to be considered.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Strong Martini.
3 01:14 HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY BRUCE QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1050m
Solid tempo with Vitthal possessing the dash to work to the lead. HOLLYWOOD EPIC (1) debuts for a sharp local barn and just missed in his recent trial. Has an awkward barrier but expect the colt to be good enough to manage. VITTHAL (5) is proving hard to catch but placed in the bush last time and three back missed a whisker at Toowoomba. On a quick backup and has race fitness. DANCES IN GRINZING (6) debuts and impressed her latest trial. Has a small claim and the rails gate and is likely to go well. MATTE BLACK (7) resumes and his trial form suggests he'll come back to racing much improved.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Hollywood Epic finds the right race.
4 01:49 CURRUMBIN EAGLES FOOTBALL CLUB BENCHMARK 62 Handicap 2000m
Looking for Skylon, Saxon Brave and Tropic Sands to press forward and set a solid tempo. TROPIC SANDS (2) will use the advantage of the rail and has threatened here his last two. Boris Thornton replaces the apprentice and the gelding hits this at peak. Gets his chance. VIADELAMORE (3) was outgraded at Eagle Farm and raced favourite at Kilcoy following and was disappointing. Will be better for that and has placed on an all-weather circuit. ZOOMURUDI (1) just missed here over 1900m this grade and will also have taken improvement. Draws an inside barrier and the 1.5kg claim is handy. SKYLON (6) is fourth up and ready to deliver his best for the Waller yard. That would be good enough.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Tropic Sands.
5 02:24 MEMBERS & MATES GCTC 29 JUNE Maiden Handicap 1540m
Looks a decent tempo with Sistine Chapel and Space Journey leading the charge. IRENE'S BEST (4) has placed twice here following the switch from a Sydney yard and there was only a whisker in it last time over this distance. Maps for a soft run and can go one better. VIDYA (9) is a former Sydney galloper having her third run in Queensland and is likely to show more. Has been kept on the fresh side and has the rail and the handy 2kg claim. Stablemate DELIBES (6) raced favourite here three weeks ago and found a place. Gives away starts and that's been costing. WEEKEND ARTIST (3) has been consistent so far this campaign. Can feature again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Irene's Best.
6 02:59 TAB WE'RE ON BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 1200m
Loads of early pressure, primarily from Ready To Torque, Full Cry and Lennic. LONDON POINT (7) is a former Victorian who was quickly back on track lipped out at Gatton before delivering a comfortable win at Beaudesert this grade and distance. Peaks now and has the rails gate. The Campton yard targets this circuit and she can go back-to-back. WHISKEY DANCER (12) rates similarly on her deserved CL1 win here. She keeps improving but draws wide gain requiring another judicious ride. LENNIC (6) brings strong city form to resumption. Just missed at Doomben her only fresh outing. Has her first try on a poly surface and is good enough to feature. PRICE COST (11) is racing well and must be respected.  SUGGESTED PLAY: London Point each-way.
7 03:39 TAB BETS FRIENDS GCTC OPEN Handicap 1100m
Expecting Jamaican Rumba to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. JAMAICAN RUMBA (3) raced on speed and blitzed the Open graders here by 4.3L as a short-priced favourite. Has to carry 5.5kg more but is good enough to manage. Edmonds-trained stablemate BURNING BELL (8) is the threat. Peaked winning at Eagle Farm before the spell and has prepared for this with two trial win. Has Wiggins and a low gate and the ploy surface won't be an issue. GEMELON BOLT (1) was good here two back and then just a run at Ipswich. Has a handy 2kg claim today and the rails gate advantages around here. THE BILLIONAIRE (5) resumes for the Freedman yard and can perform fresh. Has the outside barrier but should be around the mark.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Jamaican Rumba over the stablemate Burning Bell.
8 04:19 AQUIS THE HOME OF 2YO SPEED BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1200m
Strong early tempo assured from Wasabi Kick. PANGAEA (2) will be better for the two runs this preparation and this is much easier than Eagle Farm last time. Is proven this course and distance and it's hard to risk the Campton yard when it brings a good one here. REPHRASE (8) is in a top local barn and was expected to win here first-up in a CL1 but was disappointing. Brought compelling city form to that and despite the wide barrier deserves another chance. FENTON (1) has a low barrier and Wiggins is aboard and can show more third-up. HAMILTON BROWN (7) has claims off the debut win two back.  SUGGESTED PLAY: With Pangaea.
