RIVER PATROL (7) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when 4 metres from the winner in third over 1609m at Cranbourne. Has to contend with a very wide draw. Meets a comparable field and he can take care of this line-up. JOHNNY REDCOAT (5) is the next elect off a last-start win by a nose at Mt Gambier over 1780m.
