This looks a sterner test than last time but he is fitter for that last hit-out and capable of making his presence felt. ALDEBARAN RUBY (3) ran fourth last start at Bathurst over 1730m, beaten 30 metres. Expect her to pose a serious challenge. MIDNIGHT EAGLE (2) is in the mix following a fifth at his most recent appearance over 2190m at Shepparton. Each way value. ALDEBARAN MARCUS (6) broke last start and finished fifth over 2190m at Maryborough in an unfortunate start to this campaign. Stick with him.
