Slick tempo established by the fleet-footed trio Copano Alber, Top Gear and La Toile. COPANO ALBER (8) stalked the pace when resuming at this track and trip last start then worked to the line steadily to finish second. Should be poised just off the lead and can be in the finish. SKIP A BEAT (6) is returning from a spell of seven months. Finished fourth at Fukushima over 1800m at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Yoshimi Yanagizawa. One of the better hopes despite the layoff. REIWA HOKUTO (4) has been thereabouts lately without being able to break through, the latest effort a third at this track over 1000m. Great chance to grab that well-deserved win. MONONOFU GOLD (5) missed the frame two back in tougher company then relished the easier contest last time when second over 1200m at this track. Well placed in this company and is an each-way chance.
