Keen speed battle, with Venator, Neilikka and Ashaka Tobe prominent. ASHAKA TOBE (13) lines up for the first time since September 13. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt. Speedy type who goes well fresh and is expected to take catching.. LOS ANGELES (14) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when tenth, beaten 12 lengths, over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt. Much better than last couple and goes well course and distance. Can improve on recent efforts. PIKO ARGYLE (15) will strip fitter for this after running below expectations first-up at Fukushima, finishing tenth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1200m. Fitter and best figures are when second-up. Tricky gate but expected to improve sharply.JASPER SOLEIL (16) has returned in good shape this preparation. Opened with a second at Kyoto Dirt two starts back then landed the prize by half a length last time out over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish.
