Genuine tempo with Bersa to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. SANTANKA (6) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 1400m at Kyoto, finishing 1.1 lengths from the winner as favourite. Sure to prove tough to stop. BERSA (7) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just a neck away in second over 1400m at Kyoto after being in the firing line all the way. Has the speed to be prominent from the outset. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. EIGEN HAARD (8) is back at the races for the first time since August 24. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1400m at this track. One to consider. NOBORI RIANT (1) is back from a break of four-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a narrow defeat over 1400m at this track. Definite top-three chance.
