A solid tempo on the cards with Side Piece leading the way. Plenty of win chances. SIDE PIECE (5) is a former Kiwi who has had three runs in Australia which included kicking off with a win for the stable. Followed that with a close-up fourth then tackled much tougher class third-up at Moonee Valley when safely held. Should be at top, will find this far more suitable and back at home is expected to bounce back. BUDJIK BOY (2) came from midfield to score last time over 1800m on top of ground. Has a great record on rain-affected going as well and rider Jack Hill has a strong record while aboard. Up in weight but in form and looks a major player again. MANGIONE (9) is also a last-start winner. Veteran galloper who can feature again. COASTAL WHISPERS (12) is a locally trained galloper who takes on tougher company here but did win only other try course and distance and has the speed to lead and give them something to catch. SUGGESTED PLAY: Give Side Piece another try.
