Good early tempo with several going forward, primarily Silver Falcon, Khaya's Hope and King Regent. SILVER FALCON (1) showed good speed over 1250m at Durbanville last time but was outrun late and had to settle for second. He won his only attempt here over this trip and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, he should be the one to beat. KING REGENT (3) was an easy winner of his last race and it must be noted that the form of that race has since been franked. He is at his best over shorter, but is in a good space and cannot be ignored. LUNA HALO (9) set the pace over 1600m on the turf last time and fought on bravely to finish third. She is unbeaten from three starts on this course and her best form has been under Richard Fourie. Each way value. KHAYA'S HOPE (2) returns from a spell and normally comes to hand quickly. She settles back in the running and if the tempo is genuine, she could have the last say in this. Watch for her late.
