TRAJANUS (3) is a progressive type who was runner-up at first three starts before an all the way win last time when scoring with a bit in hand as a hot favourite. Expected to take beating again. SPIRITRIX (6) was a big debut winner this trip then not far away last time before a spell. This suits fresh and looks the main danger. BANYAN (2) was safely held last time but is much better than that run suggests. Back to 1000m and gets chance to atone. SUNSET WARRIOR (7) finished third over 1160m at Turffontein Standside at his most recent appearance on August 9. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
