Abundant early pace from the speedy trio of Intrepid, Mask On and Chara Sands. MASK ON (2) was doing his best work late when third over this distance at Scottsville last time out. He has a handy record here over the trip and from a good draw he will be right in the finish. GRIFFIN PARK (8) finished fourth and not too far behind the top pick last start. He would have come on from the run and should enjoy the return to the poly track. Sean Veale is likely to use his early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy. Stick with him. CONNERY (4) won a good race fresh up at Scottsville. He won't mind the drop back to 1000m. Apprentice Jacey Botes retains the ride and he can notch up the hat-trick. KALAHARI ROLLER (5) should have finished closer last start but was held up at the furlong peg. He is nicely weighted third up and is good enough to have the final say in this.
