Decent field size but it lacks an on-pacer so only expecting a moderate tempo. UNDER YOUR SPELL (8) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.5 lengths of the winner last start over 1800m when fresh from a spell at Tokyo. Promising filly who is well placed to go one better. HI HELLO (6) is a two-start maiden who was close to a win before spelling, finishing off with a minor placing over 1800m at Tokyo. Jockey Tosaki back aboard. Hard to beat if back in good order as anticipated. ALCHERA (16) was in the money two starts back at Tokyo then missed the frame but not too far away last time over 1800m at Fukushima last time. Wide draw but keeps coming an issue but can feature with even luck. KITASAN EPONA (7) debuted at big odds last start and finished a modest seventh at Kokura over 2000m. Expected to do more this time with Kawada booked to ride.
